Vision
Scenography Gallery is a non-governmental organization whose main activities and goals are to promote the development of the art of scenography and theatrical costume in Ukraine and its promotion in the international arena.
Art today is an essential component of social development and the formation of our identity. It is also an effective tool of cultural diplomacy that helps establish international dialogue, partnership, and cultural enrichment.
The desire to be actively involved in the development and strengthening of the culture and art sector shapes our team’s vision of the Scenography Gallery’s further existence as an information, organizational, and communication platform open to cooperation with individual artists, scholars, critics, and managers, as well as with government and independent institutions.

Values
We believe that culture is the key to preserving national identity.
We know that professional-level art means being organized, having community and state support, and constant hard work. Therefore, we contribute as a public organization and see the results.
We are confident that the language of art doesn’t require translation. That is why we strive for as much communication, exchange of experience, mutual support, dissemination, and multiplication of cultural heritage as possible.
An active democratic society, development of horizontal ties, and initiatives as a driving force for positive changes. The activities of a non-governmental organization are our participation in this process.
Equality in diversity is openness to the World, which is born out of a sense of dignity and identity, knowledge of our roots and history, and respect for the achievements of our predecessors.
Art is the territory of freedom. We are always on the side of search and experimentation; we believe in the future and young people who want to make changes.
Art is a responsibility. We are convinced that art cannot be outside of politics, war, and repression. Art must not work for criminal propaganda and totalitarian regimes.
Scenography and theatrical costume are one of the theater’s critical components, a part of both conceptual and contemporary art, of decorative art and design. We consider a theater performing artist to be a contemporary free artist who is a full-fledged participant in theater and general artistic life.
We position a theatrical sketch, costume, layout, video art, and other artifacts of scenography or costume as works of art and objects of the art market, which also have a self-sufficient value outside the context of the stage.
