Ph.D. (hum. m., 2011). Graduated from the Lithuanian Art Institute in 1980. 1974-76 worked at the Palace of Art Exhibitions, 1980-84 - at the Scientific Methodological Council for the Protection of Cultural Monuments, 1984-87 - at the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture (all in Vilnius). 1994-2016 lecturer at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (until 2004 Lithuanian Academy of Music), 2011-19 at Vilnius University; associate professor (2013). 2015-17 Director of the Institute of Creative Media, Faculty of Communication, Vilnius University.

1994-2013 curated exhibitions at the Lithuanian Artists' Union Gallery of Applied Art, Lithuanian Theatre, Music and Film Museum, National M. K. Čiurlionis Art Museum, and Modern Art Centre.

She has created performances Anthem for the Rubbish Bin (1994), Water, Earth, Sky (1995) at the Titanik Street Theatre in Vilnius.


Feliksas Navickas. Scenery (2002), Liudas Truikys. The Alchemist of the Stage. A catalogue of his work (2004), Ten, where everything is much more: A Dictionary of Lithuanian Theatre Art (2013), wrote a scientific study Vytautas Palaima. Horizons of Reality (2016), the monograph Framed Space. Lithuanian Theatre Art in the Soviet Era (2018). She has published articles in the Lithuanian and foreign press, participated in art projects. Member of the International Puppet Theatre Association (UNIMA) (since 2011), member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union (since 2012). The curator of 2023 of the National Pavilion exposition in Prague Quadrennial.
