Neringa Keršulytė is the exuberant theater and film artist, who in 1996-2001 studied scenography at Vilnius Academy of Arts and obtained her master’s degree in Arts. The artist created her most important works for puppet theater performances, tried her hand at directing, and worked as an assistant director at Vilnius Theater “Lėlė” (1991-1995).

N. Keršulytė has won awards for the best artist’s work for the play “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (Vilnius Theater “Lėlė”), in 2004, at the international puppet theater festivals in Alytus (“Kite”) and Lomza (Poland); she was also nominated for the film award “Silver Crane” (2022).

Neringa is the winner of “Golden Stage Cross” awards (2022). This artist is a visual storyteller and researcher of theater. Her work, distinguished by its frugality and clarity, focuses on the stage space, which is not intended for practical purposes, but for convey- ing the experiences of characters and which creates a verbal narrative.

Lately, her inclination towards exclusive textile scenography has been very intense. It aims at evoking a strong sense of the materiality of a soft fabric that is so important for the observer of theater action, especially for the children audience, as kids like to “touch, feel, search, and explore.”

She is increasingly convinced “that the most important thing in the scenography creation process is communication: the more you get along with the director, the more you get involved in the creative process.”
