📸We are sharing a photo selection from the presentation of the exhibition "Genealogy of Identity. Imprints and artifacts" by Anatolii and Bohdan Polishchuks.
The presentation featured a triple performance that combined three elements of art: music, poetry and visual and performative action. Live harpsichord performance by Varvara Turta, poetry readings by Maryna Ponomarenko and an improvised public drawing by the curator of the exhibition Bohdan Polishchuk. During the performance, costumes created specifically for the project were presented and music by Sofia Baibakova was played..

Artist and curator of art projects Bohdan Polishchuk, exploring his own identity, refers to the life and work of his father Anatolii Polishchuk, an artist of sacred monumental and decorative art who lived for 64 years, developed and implemented many iconostasis projects, decorated most of the churches in Mykolaiv and Mykolaiv region with artistic hand-carving, developing and establishing Ukrainian style and tradition in the south of our country. Alongside the artworks of both artists, other artefacts of the father and son's creative and life journey tell their stories at the exhibition.
The implementation of this project is an excellent antithesis to Russian cultural propaganda about southern Ukraine belonging to the "Russian world".
The project is supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
Photo and video from the official page of the Museum of Books and Printing of Ukraine.
The exhibition will run until 28 June.
