Lviv Quadriennale of Scenography 2025
On 26-28 September 2025, Lviv will host the third international Lviv Quadrіennalе of Scenography, launched by the Scenography Gallery, which for the first time held the "Lviv Quadrennial of Scenography. Preview".
This year, despite the full-scale occupation war that Russia is waging against Ukraine, we are preparing something really interesting and large-scale for you!
We consider the term scenography as broadly as possible, defining it as all possible contemporary manifestations of visual art in the field of stage design and even more: the visual component of performing arts beyond the classical stage. The format of the Quadrіennalе , which is an event that is repeated every four years, involves focusing on artistic processes, events and phenomena of the previous few years and the present.
The highlight of the Quadrіennalе 2025 will be the special project "Stage Design. Dialogue of Identities: Ukraine-Lithuania", which we are implementing in partnership with the Lithuanian Museum of Theatre, Music and Cinema, with the support of the Ukrainian Institute.
The basis of the special project and the first event of the Quadrіennalе will be a joint exhibition of contemporary Ukrainian and Lithuanian theatre costume designers in Vilnius.
The programme will be traditionally held in Lviv. The core of the programme will be a series of art exhibitions by Ukrainian and foreign artists, and the participants and visitors of the Quadrennial will be able to enjoy a rich and varied programme of public events: lectures, master classes, discussions and presentations.
The Lviv Quadrіennalе of Scenography 2025 is supported by the Lviv City Council, the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, the Ukrainian Institute of
